First, I updated the Adam Morrison post, check it out (here) for a brief discussion how race is involved with player comparisons.

Second, as I mentioned before I am pretty into fantasy sports. If you aren't then ignore this post. I am currently winning my fantasy basketball division. While part of it was the absolutely ridiculous numbers that Marcus Camby (16-13, 1.5 stls, 3.1 blks) was putting up at the beginning of the season the play of Dwayne Wade and Elton Brand have been huge and kept me on top.

My MVP so far though has been Chris Kaman (who my team is named after, "The Kamaniacs"). When you have Camby as your starter you know its just a matter of when not if he goes down to injury. Luckily for me Kaman so far has filled in nicely. He is averaging 10.8 points and 8.8 rebounds, he has even sprinkled in a 22-22 game! Pretty much since Dec. 21nd he has really stepped up his game playing well above his 10-8 average.

Pickups are big in any league as well. As players like Boris Diaw, David West, Jameer Nelson, Bobby Jackson have helped fill in injuries to Manu and a slacking Crawford at shooting guard. The real key to winning your league in my opinion is good pickups, timely trades, and a bit of luck at the beginning.

I'm pissed. I was a day away from pickin up Jameer Nelson and someone stole him under my nose, then Steve Francis who I have goes and gets suspended. What the dillyo.

For the first time in my life I am last in a Fantasy Basketball league. To make things worse I just traded for Francis. And to make it even worse it is Kelsey's league!
