Nice remix of the fantastic Gorillaz track "Feel Good Inc." This version is mellowed out with a serious dub beat. Best take I have seen on this track. The remix is by BC's Kutcorners! Give it a spin.

In celebration of the best record ever recorded there has been a re-release of Thriller with some remixes featuring Kanye, Akon and will.I.am. The Kanye track is kinda weak. The Akon track is pretty damn good. Akon is a jerk but this is a great take on a classic track. Check it out over at one of my favorite blogs Moistworks.

My dudes over at Discobelle got the exclusive from one of my favorite DJ U-Tern. U-Tern's THE COOKIE JAR - Volume 2 is due out soon and if you haven't checked out his remixes you are simply missing out. Head over to Discobelle for the original remix. If you are interested in the track sans vocals give the instrumental bellow a spin.

Sébastien Tellier gets credit for making one of my favorite songs of all time (La Ritournelle). His new album, Sexuality is due out soonish. He's signed to Air's label Record makers and calls Daft Punk, Kavinsky, Air, and Phoenix friends. Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo produced Sébastien's newest pop record. Take a listen to a track:

Sébastien Tellier - "Divine"

Swing by his myspace for some more amazing press shots and some very nice remixes. The SebastiAn remix is especially nice but I am sure you knew I was going to say that. His affinity for 80 year old+ sunglasses is an odd choice but I can't question a pop artist thats making great stuff.

Surkin's (aka Benoit Heitz) Action Replay came out early last year. Unfortunately I was just recently able to pick it up. I say unfortunately cause I've been spinning it for a solid week. This kid looking like a young 14 makes some great house. Wish I could have had the chance to get my grips on this earlier. Regardless glad I got it now as tracks like "Kiss and Fly" and "Radio Fireworks" show you that electronica and house is in good hands. The record also has some great remixes that you need to listen to. Check out just one of several.

Buy: Get Action Replay here or here.

James Pants hailing from the eastern Washington town of Spokane has released Rhythm Trax Vol. 1: James Pants. No Madlib here at Pants spins a crazy mix of electro-beat driven phych music all his own. Most of the samples Pants takes advantage of are credited to himself on drums and keys. This 10 song deep LP is definately a venture. Check out a track:

Here is a nice house track by Mexico City's Bufi. Bufi is part of a Mexico City based music collective that includes Tu Mamá and Papo Pepo. Both "Funk My Dish" and "Make it Over" are right up my alley musically. I prefer the more drawn out "Make it Over" but like I said good stuff.

Stop by Papo Pepo for a more Air type insipired electronica. Its nice to hear all these great tracks coming out of one collectiv. Really impressive stuff. Check out a couple of my favorites.

Seriously good electronica. Don't miss it. Their label, Letouch has a blog check it out.

All original production except when noted by my dude Ghislain Poirier. Great intro with one of my favorite tracks and remixes (by Megasoid) in 2007. Bit of a retrospective hear of Ghis' work with a couple tracks off his new record No Under Ground.

Give this mix a spin. I think you'll dig it.

Perhaps you heard the essential Al Usher remix of Amy Winehouse's "Tears Dry on Their Own" which was certainly one of the best remixes of 2007. This mellow disco house mix was for Cool In The Pool series. Awesome mix that you have to check out.

Billary is slipping even more and there are reports that there might be an early exit for her. There are rumors that she never really was interested in winning but was taking one final stab at raising a bunch of money with Bill in a final fundraising campaign. Claims of a money grab is most likely a stretch. With Obama gaining steam and motivating the masses he will be difficult to stop. Interesting to see how New Hampshire shakes down.

Congratulations to Barack Obama for running things in Iowa. When all was said and done the Junior Senator from Illinois took home 39% of the democratic delegates. No small feat given the amount of time the Billary campaign machine was working. It was also no joke that a black male had more support from women, seniors and the typically white conservative farming state.

In his final speech before moving on to New Hampshire Obama was electric conjuring images of the late great JFK and MLK Jr. In a call for change and to take a stand against the status quo. He didn't support the war, hes intelligent and charismatic and I throw my support behind him 110%. Lets hope he continues his surge into New Hampshire and beyond. Congratulations to Senator Obama in becoming the first black caucus winner in America. We still have awhile to go as things are just getting started but what a great start it is.

"They said this day would never come. They said our sights were set too high. They said this country was too divided, too disillusioned to ever come together. But on this January night at this defining moment in history, you have done what the cynics said we couldn't do."
