No its not the impeding doom that faced Atreyu and Bastain in the 80s classic. The Nothing is a jazz/ambient/hip hop producer who according to his website is from Tralfalmadore, California (anyone that has read Slaughter House 5 gets the reference).
His new instrumental album is entitled Life Decay and its The Nothing's second release. I can't really find much else about him. If you have more info PLEASE let me know. Loving this record. Check out a track.
Mp3: The Nothing - "They Live"
This album comes highly recommended for those that dig Wax Tailor, Dr. Who Dat or that other instramental downbeat stuff.

Is it just me or does that violin sample/beat sound exactly like the violin groove from Midlake's stellar track, "Young Bride"??
Either way, this joint is smooth. Diggin' on the scene!
i dont listen to much midlake i have heard they are very good just havent gotten around to it...perhaps he used the sample?
There's a "The Nothing" from Davis, CA who's been producing for a while locally and worked with a lot of people in Northern California.
His name escapes me but he's a good producer, good guy and fun to drink with. Ask any other producer/DJ from Davis and they'll know... Justin...John...
After hearing this I can only assume it's him. Tralfalmadore is his kind of humor too.
I think "the anonymous" is probably the drinking buddy mr. white silk is questioning.
p.s., nice album, mr. anonymous...though, i am having difficulties comparing to "complex sanity"...it depends on the mood i am in, as to what album i will spin...sensual complexion or depressing decay? you tell me.
