Its a shame that there isn't more ladies in the game. Until they start cracking through in greater numbers (wake up sexist record execs!) you find yourself saying "boy she sounds like Jean Grae or Lady Sov" which now that I think about it is real shallow thinking, not all women rappers sound the same.
Regardless Romy Hoffman's and the Macromantics have skill and merit outside of their gender. Hoffman's rapid fire delivery and playful lyrics are great. Check out this track off their upcoming release due out Jan. 27th on Kill Rockstar Records.
My dude Sage Francis also shows up on the record with another fantastic track named "Locksmith." "Scorch" is certainly the most radio ready but "Locksmith" and "Miss Macro" stand out as my favorites.
