I am not really interested in the whole Jay-Z versus Cam'ron dissfest. Cam'ron released "You Got It" ripping Jay-Z left and right. I am no Cam'ron fan in any sense of the word and this seems like a big publicity stunt just to push records. Cam seems like a material driven tough guy filled with anger and violence (his new release is called Killa Season). But, I could definitely be wrong as I am far from a rap expert.

Anyways the whole thing is pretty lame, but the song "F Jay-Z" is pretty entertaining. It takes the original song and then illustrates what lyrics Jay-Z took from MCs like BIG, Nas, Snoop among others. This song is pretty damning. If anything its a good sampling of some clips from some classics.

Mp3: Cam'ron - "F Jay-Z"

I still prefer Jay-Z but maybe I need to learn more about the nuances of Cam's music his Purple Haze LP was 9 overall by Pitchfork for 2005 don't forget.

I'm always skeptical when beefs like this make front page news, because it always seems like a publicity stunt or some other calculated move. After all, when a guy like Cam ain't around for a while, he needs to do something to get back into the spotlight.

That being said, I'm not qualified at all to tackle this one. I bet there's something genuine to all this, so maybe I should check a little deeper before saying anything.

It's just the natural skeptic in me coming out.

Cam'ron is a chump but I have to admit that song is pretty cool.
