While I wasn't crazy about Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (I love all of Wes Anderson's other films) the music, as usual, choosen for the soundtrack was awesome. If you are not familiar with it, its by Seu Jorge and is all Portuguese versions of David Bowie tunes (well except for Team Zissou written by Jorge).

Jorge was raised in the slums of Rio, Brazil. The linear notes have a quote by David Bowie himself, stating that "Had Seu Jorge not recorded my songs acoustically in Portuguese I would never had heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with."

The Highlights include:
Seu Jorge - Team Zissou.mp3 --(via Radio Free Internet).
Seu Jorge - Rebel Rebel.mp3 --(via No Way Computer).
Seu Jorge - Changes.mp3 --(via Camera as Pen).

I loved the soundtrack. Perfect combination to a Wes Anderson flick.

Seu Jorge also played Knockout Ned in City of God. That's my little trivia nugget of the day.
