Both masters in their craft, Dimitri from Paris and Leftside Wobble serve up their own subtle but painstakingly tweaked edits this week. As Leftside Wobble describes it, this edit of Lee Oskar's Haunted House is certainly a "bittersweet slow burner". Oh, and don't try to hide it--you already love DfP's edit of Madonna's "Get into the Groove" and you haven't even heard it yet.
Love this track. Especially the remix done by Tensnake. Video isn't probably going to win any awards but its great to see they still make videos for great music. Hopefully be able to see them play live at some point. You can if you happen to live in the UK, Australia or Spain.
It's Saturday night, people! There's no more perfect time for a bedazzled grab bag of dance tracks, now is there? Reach on in and you'll find a killer Justice remix from Monsieur Adi (couldn't be more excited, by the way, for the upcoming Justice tour stop here in Seattle in April), along with remixes from Analog Giant favorite Ghosts of Venice and also new music from the fabulous Bottin. Have a great weekend!
According to the ever-talented Justin Faust (who, perhaps, made a Faustian pact to get said talents?), this new remix of High Hopes from Jay Lamar and Jesse Oliver comes courtesy of a quid quo pro exchange of remixing services (Faust remixed one of their tunes on an earlier record). Whatever the deal was, we win...because we now get this excellent remix as a free download.
The next is from LA's Nosaj Thing. A dude we have been loving for awhile. Remix of the XX's "Islands." The final parting track we have for you and a recommendation from E himself is a remix from London's based Leftside Wobble. Its a expertly done version of the Talking Heads classic "Once in a Lifetime." Enjoy! Have a great weekend everyone. Peace!
Feel the love with this new Valentine's Day mix from the fabulous Les Loups! Go on out there and get romancin', people.
So sad...this track or maybe "How Will I Know" are my favorites.
Welcome to the weekend. First track is a remix of Miike Snow by London's Jacques Lu Cont.
Miike Snow - Paddling Out (Jacques Lu Cont Remix) by TRACQUES
The second track we are really loving is Olso's Todd Terje's track "Inspector Norse." A brilliant building house/disco track that is really new but new enough for us. Check it out if you haven't yet. Stellar stuff.
The final track is from track featuring South African Spoek Mathambo along with Riky Rick by Fast Life. This track gets the remix treatment by Machinedrum.
New record by Lindstrom is out tomorrow! I was able to get an advanced copy of the record and its good. It is very different than his debut album Where you go I go to released four years ago. Think more synth, funk, sweeping opening film type stuff ("No Release") and almost progressive rock type sounds. "De Javu" still stands out as my favorite track on the record with perhaps "Hina" second. Regardless just like his last album its a journey from beginning to end that begs the listener to join along. Great stuff. Check out some remixes...

Union is OJ and Gold a production duo based in Paris France. Their new record Analogtronics just came out on Fat Beat Records. Union is an intelligent mix of hip-Hop and 70’s Jazz Funk. Check out a great track featuring Talib Kweli and Sly Johnson. Nice remix of Phoenix here as well...

Phoenix - Fences (Union remix) by Unionmusic
St. Lucia - We Got It Wrong (Starsmith Remix) by Starsmith The third is a great track produced by our dude Ghis Poirier. Its a remix of Face-T's track "Jumbo." The track is on the Tough Like Stone record due out this month.
Face-T - Jumbo (A Tribe Called Red Remix) by Dub Avenue The final track is a remix by Croatian Mario Kolonic. Its a remix of Pyjamas' (not familiar) track "London2Brighton." Good stuff. Have a great weekend everyone!

French duo AutoReverse released this handclappy disco explosion last month on Shiny Disco Club, and considering I'm something of a laser-guided missile when it comes to both handclaps and disco I'm a little shocked I missed it. Oh, but what matters is I found it in the end--and now you, too, can enjoy this faaaaantastic track. Free download, too.
The 2 Bears are a London-based musical duo composed of Joe Goddard (of Hot Chip fame) and Raf Rundell. They teamed up back in 2009 and their album Be Strong is their first full length record. The debut single of the record, "Work" is really awesome. Check out a remix of that track here. If you want to check out the entire record before purchasing check it out here.
