Sonar the International Festival of Advanced Music and Multimedia Art has just released it schedule and who will be here in September. Thanks to Time Out Chicago we have a taste who will be there. The "headliners" are dubstep front runner Martyn and L.A. based and Analog Giant favorite Nosaj Thing. Other acts include Detroit's Jimmy Edgar, Ben Frost, Oval and turntablist Kid Koala performing with his Slew project, a band that includes ex-members of Australian rock band Wolfmother and fellow DJ Dynomite D.
Sonar initially began as a Barcelona-based experimental music festival however this year they announced a Chicago edition. I am certainly looking forward to it. Check out some of the featured music.
