The latest record from the Heliocentrics is their record with the eccentric Lloyd Miller. Lloyd Miller and The Heliocentrics pairs them with Lloyd Miller, a jazzman and ethnomusicologist with an expansive knowledge of Persian and Eastern instruments. The result is pretty great. I have been a fan of the Heliocentrics for some time. Their collaborative album on Strut uses their separate directions and influences to fuse together a unique jazz experience with elements of world music and experimental psychedelia.
