Great new record from Oregon’s Luck-One and Dekk. Really fantastic stuff with a blend of conscious rhymes, jazzy at times makes you think of 1980s-ish hip hop. Perfect sound that I love. Backpack hip hop? maybe. Fantastic? certainly. Check out a track.

Guys like me, a little outside the nuances of the genre, would like to immediately to point to Gil Scott-Heron as the root of their work...but I'm sure there are many many others.
