Rep. Bachmann "(Sarah Palin) easily has more qualifications than Barack Obama and Joe Biden put together if you look at executive experience." Nice try of being crafty lady. While you are technically right no person in their right mind will count executive experience of being a mayor of a town of less than 9,000 people and Governer of a remote sparsely populated state for less than 2 years easily more qualified than Obama or Biden.

Rep. Bachmann should be embarrassed that she even attempted the qualifications argument. Nice try to pander to the women's vote on her rebuttal to Carville which was totally irrelevant to the point. See more if you haven't heard enough (actually gets better). Carville makes some great points about Olympia Snow as somebody that should have been the woman if any was appointed as McCain running mate.

The women's vote is just a myth.

Senator Clinton and Governor Palin are proof that women can and do diverge on important issues.

Even on the question of whether women should vote!

Most people are totally in the dark about HOW the suffragettes won votes for women, and what life was REALLY like for women before they did.

Suffragettes were opposed by many women who were what was known as 'anti.'

The most influential 'anti' lived in the White House. First Lady Edith Wilson was a wealthy Washington widow who married President Wilson in 1915.

Her role in Wilson's decision to jail and torture Alice Paul and hundreds of other suffragettes will never be fully known, but she was outraged that these women picketed her husband's White House.

"The Privilege of Voting" is a new free e-mail series that follows eight great women from 1912 - 1920 to reveal ALL that happened to set the stage for women to win the vote.

It's a real-life soap opera! ALL true!

Suffragettes Alice Paul and Emmeline Pankhurst are featured, along with TWO gorgeous presidential mistresses, First Lady Edith Wilson, Edith Wharton, Isadora Duncan and Alice Roosevelt.

There are tons of heartache on the rocky road to the ballot box, but in the end, women WIN!

Thanks to the success of the suffragettes, women can support the candidates and cause we choose -- left, right, in-between or GREEN!

Exciting, sequential episodes are perfect to read on coffeebreaks, or anytime.

What the hell was that woman on about?! "Woman will vote for her because she is strong and confident, we should be proud of her".
This is such a pathetic statement. I am woman, not that I feel the need to harp on about it, but the very notion that I should feel some sort of affiliation to someone because they share the same gender as me and they are "doing well" is as offensive as it is ridiculous. There are approx 3 billion women on the planet - how the hell are 3 billion people going to have the same views and opinions.

I totally agree with Obamas stance that Sarah Palin's daughter should not be brought into this and it has nothing to do with politics. I find the very fact that "abstinence" and teen pregnancy is being brought into the politics of one of the most powerful countries on the planet very, very disturbing.
Its a non issue, and its up to the individual involved, and bringing this sort of thing into government is like something out the middle ages. People need a good lesson in how to a) not be so judgemental b) minding their own dam business.

I don't think Sarah Palin has done anything wrong - yet. However if she continues to preach about other peoples abstinence etc, then she will need to shut her mouth, thats when it will become very hypercritical - 1 rule for her and her family, another for eveyone elses. Hopefully though if anything this whole experience will teach her how not to judge until she has walked in the others shoes and show a little more understanding and tolerance.

Sorry, just been reading about Sarah Palin on the wikipedia so thought I would ask - HOW THE HELL IS SOMEONE A PRO-LIFE SUPPORTER AND A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION!!!?

Buts its given me a idea - don't have an abortion ladies, just give birth then shoot the thing in the head with a rifle and then no one will mind. lol.

I can't help looking at McCain and getting the impression there's someone behind the curtain with their hand up his shirt, making his mouth move. It's so spooky and, um....Reagan-like. And, God bless the American media, Palin's "scandals" are on the cover of People mag and their ilk...not sure if that's a well-placed media spin or not.
