They call it D-sides but this is a classic double disc B-side record from the Gorillaz' Demon Days. D-sides is full of early demos and previously unreleased tracks compiled together for the first time. Best part is you can get it and more for free just tell me why you think you deserve the record and you get not only the record but a whole bunch of stuff. US entries only and don't forget your email. Check it out:

Prize1 Deluxe Edition D-sides
1 Dirty Harry CD Single (with All Alone Live)
1 Gorillaz Phase 2: Slow Boat to Hades DVD
1 Feel Good Inc. DVD Single feat. both Bill Murray and Spitting Demons
1 Feel Good Single
Gorillaz Sticker set

All of it for a lucky winner. I've given the record a spin and with remixers like Hot Chip, Soulwax and DFA and rare cuts like "Bill Murray," "Spitting out the Demons" and "Hongkongaton" its definately worth the purchase. Best of luck. Peace.

Buy: Get the record here or here.

Grats to deusdiabolus for the winning comment.

I think I deserve the record because I remember the first day I heard Gorillaz back in like, 7th grade. My friend had their cd, all nice and scratched up for me to listen to. I remember I thought it was so good that I went out and bought it, plus I learned how to play one of the songs on the guitar with my 'classical' guitar teacher.

That, plus I'm the #1 AG tipper.

I think I deserve it because it would help me get caught up on my Gorillaz collection (1st album on CD and vinyl, G-Sides on CD, "Tomorrow..." and "Clint..." on vinyl, Phase One on DVD, the Limited Edition version of Demon Days on CD (haven't snagged the wax yet), "Happy Landfill" which was only available with a key on the LE CD, the version of Massive Attack's "Small Time Shoot 'Em Up" with 2D singing...I'm sure there's something else but I can't think of it). Also because I stuck up for the Gorillaz when people were slagging them off as being like the Archies. And if it helps, I also own a CD of the soundtrack to Ravenous that Damon did with Michael Nyman (somehow I have not managed to get The Good The Bad and the Queen yet, but I have every intention to...been out of work until recently).

And I gave the machine in the basement some tea.

I think i deserve the generous package because I would play it for my newborn, who is now a week old in my ongoing effort to fend off Radio Disney et al. Beats Wiggles any day. Oh, and I live in Chicago and have cousins in Oly, WA (but only friends in Vermont.)

I deserve it because I paid cash money for all of their other releases. And I could really use some some visual/audio inspiration for some art projects I have to work on in the coming weeks. My email is joe(dot)orsinger(at)gmail(dot)com.

I think I deserve it because some times the least deserving person ends up getting the prize...so why the heck not me! And while I might be the least deserving person in this instance, I still want that album so bad I can taste it! So hook a brother up!

Last weekend my sister came for a visit so I thought I'd show her a nice hike in the smokey mtns. On the drive to the trail head we were listening to this disc and between the beauty of the smokey mountains and the hypnotic drone of el manana I was quite impressed with her musical choice. I had heard about this disc but G-sides was my least fav gorillaz release yet so I wasn't expecting much from D-sides. Boy was I wrong! despite 1 or 2 too many Dare remixes I thought it was a great release. We got to the trail head, had a great hike(White Oak Sinks, its a fun little hike in the south end of the Park[Smky Mtn National Park]) When we got back to her car someone had broken in and trashed it. They tried to steel the stereo and while they were unable to get it out they more or less destroyed it trying. On top of that they stole her CD case! Come on people! Who steals CDs anymore! I thought every one but my sister had moved on to digital downloads(she says the sound quality of downloads sux). Needless to say I felt bad cuz the hike was my idea. I'd parked there many times before and never had any trouble but unlike my sister I don't have out of state tags.In addition to 118 other cds they got the first "D-Sides"disc in her cd case and the 2nd disc is stuck in her stereo so I told her I'd get them for her for christmas. Little consolation since she lost so much store bought music. I tried to tell her that if her music had been downloaded she would probably have a back up somewhere but she wouldn't hear it. She said the saddest part was that the thief was probably some red neck who opened her cd case, saw the Jonny Cash in the front and thought "SWEET" only to find that most of the rest of the discs were hip hop and dub! It was kind of funny to hear her fake a country accent to predict the thieves reaction,"KING TUBBY...whut the hell kind of shit is this!" Now whether or not she deserves this Gorillaz, obviously whoever trashed her car didn't think so, but I think this would be a cool consolation prize despite being about $1700 shy of replacing the rest of her music. I already bought her a replacement but I have yet to mail it. If I win this, then I can keep the copy I just bought and she can have the delux(She's a bigger gorillaz fan than I). If you know of any good hip hop or Dub give aways, let me know. Thanks.
