Pitchfork notes that Aesop Rock has a new album due out August 28th on Def Jux. None Shall Pass will be Aesop's 5th full length release and features the usual suspects of El-P, Cage and production by Blockhead. Aesop also collaborates with John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats on a track. Check out a new track off the album:

i really dig aesop but to be honest, i'd actually like to see him doing something different. how'bout collabos with other geezers than the usual? not really feeling this.
diesel you check out the nike run mix thing? i kinda enjoyed it...would like to see a bit more than this track as well...i still rotate labor days on a regular basis...
I know what you mean diesel. Seems like Def Jukies like to do the same thing over and over.
Aesop does seem to try out a new flow on this though -- kinda reminds me of Lif. Not bad, but would I buy it? Probably not.
K, where can I pick up that nike run mix?

think its iTunes only ITSO.
this was one of the only worthy tracks from the adult swim ep, and i dig it a lot. other good aesop rock non-album cuts: his cut on the prefuse 73 album, and especially facemelter, bside to bazooka tooth. must have. but this is coming from a casual aesop fan.
good looking out. I'm really liking this track. Apparently, the record is crazy good. I haven't heard it but my friends who have say its the best thing he's done. i'm tempted to check it out, but who wants to hear the thing with the whole Def Jux promo thing where they recite the promo recipient's name every 30 seconds. I liked Bazooka Tooth but I'm hoping its a return to Labor Days/Daylight EP form.
