One of my favorite downbeat electronic records is Fahrenheit Fair Enough by Telefon Tel Aviv (TTA). TTA is the duo of Joshua Eustis and Charlie Cooper. Thier new record the Telefon Tel Aviv: Remixes Compiled is just that a collection of remixes culled from the first seven years of TTA's career. The record features Nine Inch Nails, John Hughes and Phil Ranelin to name a few. Check out one track off the record:
TTA is currently in the studio working on a follow-up LP to 2004’s Map of What is Effortless.
