To continue Albarn's obsession with everything Clint Eastwood he has joined forces with Dangermouse, The Clash's bassist Paul Simonon and former Verve member, and Blur and Gorillaz guitarist Simon Tong, and Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen. The new group is called The Good, the Bad and the Queen.
The new album produced by Dangermouse is due out sometime in January of 2007 its going to be self-entitled. The new single is due out sometime in late October. Single I think is fantastic and can't wait for the new album. Albarn is unreal and there is little that he has done that I don't like. You could co-sign on the guy based on his track record alone.

This is fucking great. Cannot wait for more!
Albarn really spreads himself around -- never a dull moment, project-wise.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this - I love Damon Albarn, way back to my teeny bopper Blur days. The man really is a musical genius (well, extremely prolific, anyway)
I hadn't heard of this new project, so again, thank you thank you thank you LOL
I saw the band in Exeter the other night - they were unbelievable. Have now shaken hands with Paul Simonen. Can't believe it. I've shaken hands with Paul Simonen.
