As the faithful readers know I have been consuming large amounts of dub lately. So far my favorites have been Augustus Pablo (very favorite), King Tubby, Mad Professor, Horace Andy and Scientist. I am looking for more great records though any help is appreciated.

Please post your top five dub records in the comments section if you get the chance. Its even better for me if they are on emusic dub! Thanks in advance for the help.

Trojan put out a Dub rareties box that is super nice. Has Pablo, The Upsetters and all sorts of goodness on it. And a strange personal favorite is the extra disc of dubs that came with Serge Gainsbourg's re-release of Aux Armes Et Cetera that he recorded with Sly & Robbie and some Marleys back in the 70's.

PS- Thanks for the music.

Mate, I have been loving your site lately... Maybe you can help me while helping yourself by finding a copy of The Mad Professor Mix of The Orb's "Towers of Dub". I have heard it, but only on cassette. It is brilliant. If you did happen to find an mp3 of it I would be eternally grateful if you would share it with me :-)
I know it's not old-school Dub, but you won't regret it if you can find it. Cheers, DJKL.

I forgot to add that I have a weird Aussie CD called "Ten Dubs That Shook The World" (http://www.discogs.com/release/652901). If you send me your snail mail I'll sort you out with a copy, as it's really hard to find these days. email: djkl@djkl.com

I'm a big fan of old school Jamaican dub, but a great modern group I found a couple of years ago is High Tone. They combine a lot of influences (jamaican, indian, electronic) into some luscious soundscapes.

Hey dude.

You need Prince Far I's "Cry Tuff Dub Encounter Chpt 3".

You should also check out Wackies "Horance Andy Dance Hall Style", says it's dancehall but it's not - it's straight up NYC 70's roots/dub.

also check out www.myspace.com/crytuffcouncil
We do dub remixes of punk rock songs. Our latest features HR from Bad Brains. \

There is a show on Melbourne PBS radio (http://www.pbsfm.org.au) on saturdays from 5pm-7pm our time called 'Chant Down Babylon'.

It has been running for so long it's kind of a melbourne dub institution....I used to tape it in the old days! Lots of old school stuff, highly recommended, follow links to webstream.
