David Stern is a pompous ass and needs to go. He's a terrible commissioner. Its no wonder why the NBA is such a drag. He can't sell the game what so ever. Case in point:

The draft is in NYC the Knicks pick is up and that is the time he chooses to announce a trade that EVERYONE in the freaking building knows about already, can't he just wait to announce it when the Phoenix pick is up?

Well I guess he was maybe doing New Yorkers a favor because as soon as the pick was up we all learned that not only can Isaiah Thomas totally screw up a basketball league and a basketball team, BUT he can screw up a draft as well by taking 2nd round talent in round 1.

Ohh and if you were wondering the Bulls just got a hell of alot better and for some reason my other favorite team took another ridiculous underdeveloped 7 footer.

The consensus about Seattle taking Sene is that Seattle can leave him overseas and not pay him. Another stroke of genius! First Stern then Thomas now Seattle. Nothing like drafting a 7 foot center from Senegal to get the people jacked about basketball! The excitement! I can hear all the people running for season tickets now. I thought they wanted to build the Sonics a new arena? I can't imagine why the people don't give a rats ass.

PS. Tyrus Thomas and his Mr. Rogers purple sweater vest takes the cake for best dressed!

I don't think I've ever told you about how I was in the 1986 NBA draft. Next time we grab lunch, I'll tell you about it. It's amazing what you can do with a well-written letter to David Stern.

I don't like the Sonics pick, but apparently they are not stashing him overseas. From the PI:

"And general manager Rick Sund said the club has no intention of keeping Sene in Europe for more seasoning. He will play for the Sonics next season, including the team's entry in the Rocky Mountain Revue next month."

I guess they figured that they might as well take a shot and that Mickael Gelabale will be as good as any guard that could have picked up. Too bad they couldn't have traded up a few slots and drafted Rudy Gay.

Why another center though? Is Luke really the answer at the point? Why not take a shot on Marcus Williams or Jordan Farmar or freaking Dee Brown in the 2nd round?

I would have taken JJ. Then they can bomb threes all day long.

They also could have traded up for Roy or Morrison to bring in some extra ticket sales. I am totally confused why they need 3 project centers.

Marcus Williams makes more sense to me. I just dont think Cool Hand Luke is the answer at PG. But maybe he proves me wrong. Or maybe Yotam Halperin is the answer.

I hope they bring back Wilcox he was a beast at the end of the year. Like Stephen A. said I dont have a problem with the Sonics drafting a project BUT with the 10th pick in the first round???? lets save projects for Round 2.

I'm actually pretty excited abou the Bulls getting Thomas and saving some cash in the process. He will be a hell of a player in a few years.
