from the HMV review... not that i usually trust it, but the rest of the review sounded "on the level" -

Enuff:
Unexpectedly, the most un-DJ Shadow moment doesn't come from Yay Area gangster rappers, but Q-Tip and Lateef, who team up over wildly upbeat guitar strums and a pop chorus.

maybe it's just me, but that doesn't sound promising. still, i can't wait to be proven wrong.

thanks for puttin' up those Low Budget joints... i CANNOT get enough of that out-of-print shit. thanks.

i have checked out 3 freaks, Keep em Close, and Seein' Thangs. All of which I enjoyed.

Like Anon said it will be interesting to see what the reviews of this more conventional album will be. Seems like for this one Shadow is moving into more of a producer roll with guest spots rather than his more instramental approach of records past.

A Shadow produced beat is still a thing of beauty and I am eager to check this one out. The songs I have heard thus far I have loved so I am excited to see Shadow try some new things.

I will be picking this album up regardless of the reviews when it comes out.

If you haven't check out Funky Skunk now thats a dope mix record that came out in 2005.
