Whatever ?uest touches turns to gold. There is little this world class drummer for the Roots crew, producer, collaborator and now a compiler of sultry love tunes can't do. He is a genius and in my opinion one of the coolest guys in music. The latest offering from the Fro'ed One is this collection of rare groove tracks selected shrewdly and designed for the heartache caused by love.
The album is a follow up to his widely loved Babies Making Babies Vol. 1 released in 2002. Babies Making Babies, Vol. 2: The Misery Strikes was released on Jan. 31st 2005. Where the first comp was devoted to lovers this latest offering is all about the pain love can bring. For "kids" like me this is also a great way to hear some tracks from music we missed out on.
