Donald Rumsfeld gives an assessment:

If I were grading, I would say we probably deserve a D or a D-plus as a country as to how well we’re doing in the battle of ideas that’s taking place in the world today. And I’m not going to suggest that it’s easy, but we have not found the formula as a country.

Hmm...seems problematic given that the Bush Administration's National Security Strategy stresses that the battle of ideas will be the ultimate factor in deciding who wins the war on terror:

In the long run, winning the war on terror means winning the battle of ideas, for it is ideas that can turn the disenchanted into murderers willing to kill innocent victims.

Yeah, right and Andy Card resigns (read pushed out) and he was only the mob's mouthpiece. Rummy and scatter gun Cheney should resign instead because they are the incompetent Darth Vaders behind our disastrous foreign policy. At least Cheney finally WMD. He owns them!!

Card was mearly a pawn as the Administration tries to save face with the ignoramuses that make up the mass of this country.

Card was a fall guy just like Brown to smoke screen the fact that this administration and its policies are a fraud and a joke.

Until white bread America wakes up and smells the shit Bush is shoveling we are going no place fast.
