This is getting ubsurd. Bush carries the American flag and says freedom every other sentence and considers himself a patriot and defender of America but does crap like this?

Are you joking? You all know I am convinced he is out of his mind but lets be serious here. He doesn't have enough faith in the American people that we can run our own ports? We have to have a middle eastern company do it for us? What kind of back room deal is this UAE company got going with the administration? We are seriously going to have our major ports in the hands of an Arab country where al Qaeda recruits, travels and wires money.
This story broke the 12th of Febuary the same day that news of Cheney shooting a dude in the face with a shotgun came out. The story has slowly been emerging. Somebody tell me this is a joke. Somebody tell me why this man and his administration is in power. Give me some good points please. Something I beg you.

I still think its BS that a British company was running it. Shouldn't an American company be running it? Seems like Bush is trying to play on some type of race/ethnicity arguement here.
That is really beside the point. The fact that an American port is run by anyone other than Americans is problematic. There is nothing racist or protectionist about it. Keep domestic ports run by Americans.
Still, if you are so gung ho American GW why wouldn't you let Americans do it?
