Sorry for slacking on the posting. Apologies to the loyal AG readers. From driving up to visit friends in Northeastern Vermont and locking myself out of my apartment I dropped the ball on the posting. Anyways you don't come here for the apologies and excuse making so lets get to the beatmakers.
Well its time I post some downtempo electro for the short week (I know you're saying "Dude you just posted some downtempo stuff!" but this is unreleased Tosca here). Tosca's stuff has best been described as "Not just music, but a state of mind" (Urb June 2005, p. 81).
Tosca is the project of Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Hubert on the esteemed G-Stoned label. Souvenirs is a remix album of their previous LP J.A.C. and you haven't heard K&D Sessions and you likey the downtempo its a must have.
This disc starts out strong with John Lee Huber Burn Friedman Mix feat. Theo Altenberg. Theo Altenburg's vocals are great on this track and accent this blues'ed out version of a great remix. The second hosted track is DJ DSL's version of Rondo Acapricio. DSL stays focused on his hip hop roots but reliably adds some extra flavours. The final hosted track is Haaksman & Haaksman Mix of Superrob. Its definatly a dancer and has a great reggae sound with Ras Donovan vocals to boot.
