The indy hip hop legend and crate digging deity has released Funky Skunk a limited-edition mixtape sold in exclusive packages with equally iconic Shepard Fairey's graffiti artwork. Pitchforkmedia calls the album "addictive and ferocious, and might horrify anyone who's only familiar with Shadow's more serene albums."
As could be expected this hour long mix tape is incredible and not to be missed. Shadow claims to hold around 90 million songs on "60,000 shelves" and this tape gives you just a taste of what he is capable of doing. A must have for DJ Shadow fans like myself and definately a must listen for anyone wanting to learn more about turntablism from one of the best. AMG says "Skunk ranks highly as one of DJ Shadow's best mix albums, acting as a brilliant party album but also as an introduction to prehistoric hip hop."

I will only host the album for a couple days and then will take it down. Be sure to purchase the album here as the packaging and artwork is awesome.

That is some awesome artwork.
I'm Eastern Orthodox and was impressed with the iconic looking "Hagio Petros" artwork there. It's quite traditional looking, except for the circles with the Greek written in the them. Even then, there's some precedent for that sort of thing, just not as modern looking.
I wonder why he chose St. Peter?
He didn't I just chose the picture. Nice eye nico.
Picture has nothing to do with the cd I just used it given the way I wrote the review.
Daaaam new Shadow this rules.
K,
Get a hold of James from Modsuperstar. It's his league, I'm sure he wants more people.
Gotcha.
Still. It's cool either way, and so is his artwork (which I googled.)
