Well, here it is...in all its golden-jumpsuit (semi NSFW) glory, the new video from the masterful Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. This song rocked the crowd the last time I saw him live, but man, where was my invite to this video shoot? That's the kind of party I need right now.

The next is a can't miss remix by Skream of Chromeo's "Night by Night" track. Not new but simply fantastic.

The final track is a wonderful instrumental from Apparat. I guess the mood for this weekend is mellow. Maybe its because its been cold and a bit rainy here in Chicago. Guess its time to just relax and enjoy your weekend. Peace!

Ridney payed his respect to the legendary Roule label and Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter with a mix of some of the best French house tracks ever pressed. I still remember the first time I dropped the needle on a copy of 'Trax on da Rocks' in a record store somewhere, and, well...mind blown. As famous as these tracks are, I still think they don't get enough airplay, so now you have the chance to fix that courtesy of the talented Mr. Ridney.

Modeslektor has a new record coming out called Monkeytown which album features some pretty amazing talent like Thom Yorke, Siriusmo, Sascha Ring (aka Apparat), Busdriver, Miss Platnum, Anti Pop Consortium, Otto Von Schirach and PVT to name just a few. Check out a snippet of the track with Thom Yorke (there is actually two on the album). Pretty great. Sadly their tour brings them no place close to Chicago or Seattle. My favorite track off the album from first listen is the track featuring Miss Platnum.

Fresh off of their USA tour, the fabulous rainbow-flavored frico disco dance keeps flowing from Fare Soldi. This time it's in the form of a remix of Gigamesh's "It's So Intense". How good is this? Free download, too.
Bonus Bullygans EP tracks:
A-Trak's tribute to the late and great DJ Mehdi has blown up across the internet across the last 24 hours, and we're here to do our part. As we said, Mehdi was and will always be one of our favorites, and this mini mix from the always impressive A-Trak is the perfect salute. RIP.
Just got an opportunity to hear this up and coming new Miami artist Steven A. Clark. Nice blend of classic soul singing with an alternative type beat. Pretty unique. One foot in the past one in the future. Enjoying this. You can check out Clark's entire new EP online here you can download it there for free as well.

Now, I don't normally like to post an album tease, but two things:
A: It's a damn good tease. From the sound of it, this album is going to be completely massive. And...
B: It's Surkin.
This preview even sounds all wonky and washed out and I'm still hyped. Something tells me I'll be listening to this quite a bit when "USA" releases November 7th. Check it out!
I'm just about to head out the door to see the ever-fabulous Chromeo here in rainy Seattle, but before I do, I had to share this fantastic new One Day Later Radio from the masterful U-Tern. One hour and one minute of pure bliss featuring remixes of Friendly Fires, The Rapture, Cassius, a little Edwin Van Cleef, and lots more.
The final track and a perfect one to wind your weekend down is Daedelus' remix of "Turn on the Sunlight." Simply wonderful. Its part of from the forthcoming album Turn On The Sunlight - Remixes / Collaborations featuring Daedelus, Child's View, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Koen Holtkamp, Build An Ark, and Coffee & Cigarettes Band. Have a great weekend. Peace!
No doubt we love Mayer Hawthorne. As any frequent AG visitors knows we have been a big supporter of him since the beginning. Super excited to see his sophomore album picked up by Universal. Good to see good people do well. We loved the single "Long Time" and even "The Walk" but what is the deal with this video? Its lame...a weak Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Probably wasn't cheap but there is just no innovation, no character that we are used to seeing from Mayer. Maybe I've raised the bar too high but the video for "Long Time" is fresh. Hope this video is just a blip on the radar.
