This remix is very well done. The next is a remix from Arsenii. A Russian producer and DJ who I haven't heard of before. His remix of James Blake's track is awesome. Spank Rock aka Naeem Juwan (MC Spank Rock) and producer Alex Epton (XXXChange) have finally released a follow up to their great debut. The duo will be touring in support of their second record, Everything Is Boring and Everyone Is a F***ing Liarand our set to land in Chicago on October 28th at The Mid. I have never seen them live but based on the pictures and video I have seen it looks like they put on one hell of a show.

I still love listening to "Rick Rubin" on a regular basis. Their first single from this record is "Energy" which feels more poppy than hip hop. It comes across as a bit of a Talking Heads/TV on the Radio hybrid...regardless its a nice introduction to the new record. Check it out...

New DJ Kicks record and track from Peckham-born producer Gold Panda (aka Derwin Panda). He is the latest in a long list of great artists that have created mix records for !K7. The latest installment by Panda is a wisely crafted 22 track mix mostly of artists I have never heard of. Check out just one of the 22! The album is officially out November 8th.

Its been a minute since we last did a music for your weekend post. There is simply too much good stuff out there to continue this bad habit. The first is from one of our favorite musicians on the planet...Vito aka Aeroplane. His track "Big Boys Don't Cry" came out about a week ago and its still on repeat.

Mad Blunted Jazzis no joke either. Great to see he is putting out some fresh stuff. His album Sevenis due out October 27th on K7! records.

We lost one of our favorites today. DJ Mehdi was killed in a freak roof top accident in France while celebrating at a birthday party with friends. He was way too young and way too talented to go so early. We will miss you Mehdi. Rest in peace.

You know how we love Ghosts of Venice, right? Good, good, because here's another good reason--a blissful little remix of Now in Stereo's "Away". It's got a certain back-to-the-90s house vibe, mixed in with a little french filter. Loving this live recording of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performing Otherside, just uploaded today. Macklemore's recent hometown show was one of the best live acts I've seen in years and this recording gives you a glimpse into what the guy can do on a live stage. Speaking of catching these guys live, you can see them at Seattle's iconic Bumbershoot festival Sunday, September 4th on the big stage!
