I do have a penchant for 90s/00s R&B samples, and here are two Janet Jackson sampled tunes. Wax Motif & Neoteric used "Go Deep" for a fun bouncy version, and Prince Club slow downed Janet's vocal from "Someone To Call My Lover" for "Love Jackson".

We featured Freddie Joachim's remix of Toro Y Moi a bit back. He is back with another great remix from the fantastic Erykah Badu. Freddie puts a great spin on Badu's standout track "Telephone" from her 2008 album, New Amerykah Part One (4th World War). Another great remix by Mr. Joachim.

Out today on Beatport, is Kingdom's newest release on Fool's Gold Records, "Take Me" featuring Naomi Allen of Electrik Red. I've always liked Kingdom's fascination with R&B, plus he collaborated with an Electrik Red member? How perfect! I've wished for this collab (check the tweets!)! As you know, Electrik Red is The-Dream's answer to Prince's Vanity 6. I hope they continue to work together...future R&B!

For one week only, Hype Machine will stream AZARI & III's full album ahead of the release on August 7th. You may be familiar with their classic house influenced track, "Reckless With Your Love", which was unofficially released 2 years ago.

Check out a whole host of fantastic remixes. The first is a remix of Penguin Prison's (pictured) "Fair Warning." He has been on our radar ever since is standout single "The Worse it Gets." Do not miss his original tracks or remixes. The second is another great remix from a man that seems to do no wrong...Star Slinger. The third is from one of our favorite bands on the planet, Junior Boys. Nice take on their first single "Banana Ripple" off their new album , Its All True.

The perfect way to cap a music for your weekend post is with a party starter from Chromeo remixed by the great Breakbot. The remix is in support of the latest single release of Chromeo's "When the Night Falls" of their standout third album Business Casual. Have a great weekend everyone. Go Bears!

Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis pulled the sheet off the video for their new single "Wings" over at XXL. For a track about Air Jordans, it's some mighty powerful stuff. Macklemore is a massive up and coming talent that has always shown a lot of pride for his (and my) hometown of Seattle, and in turn we have a lot of pride in him. Definitely don't miss this video. Oh, and one cool thing to mention: the video was a Kickstarter project.

Stupidly busy week for me already (ahhh it's only Tuesday!), but I thought I'd post up a medley of new music from some of the artists I'm jamming out to at the moment.

First up, we've got the glorious Magic Tape Thirteen from The Magician. As he says, there's no tracklisting because a magician never reveals his tricks, but there's a whole bag full of unicorn dust sprinkled over this mix.Incredible as always.

Next is a remix from one of my favorite super hero themed acts right now, The Phantom's Revenge. This time he's setting his phasers to house music. A great remix of LBCK's "Instant Party".

HOPPY SUMMER MIXTAPE by JRMX (DJ) by JRMX (DJ)

Finally, here's a brand new mix from a producer/DJ we featured last week here on Analog Giant, JRMX. Great new disco style mix, and the title makes me think of beer, so bonus points for that.

Vancouver's First Date, brings you a mix filled with Bass, Garage, UK Funky, Deep, House tunes. You will recognize tracks from Jacques Greene, Kingdom, Julio Bashmore, and Voltron.
Bring Back the Feeling: A mix that was designed to stir up the feelings you once had, only with a new sound. Something to sit back with, and reflect. A voyage through warm synths, deep bass and methodical percussion. This is a blend of some of our favorite tracks; tracks that get better and better after every listen.

Oh the weekend is here all right! Here's hoping yours is full of awesome summer plans. There won't be any danger of sunburn here in Seattle this weekend, but hey, that's the Emerald City city for you--even in mid July. We've got a nice little selection for this Music for your Weekend post, but I'm kicking it off with a fantastic summer mix from the glorious Geisha Twins.
SoundLogik.Com [Exclusive Mixtape] by Geisha Twins
Next up is a Vostok-1 remix of Mexican producer Levantine's "Girls Funk". Despite the fact that Vostok-1 is a Spanish producer, the original Vostok 1 spacecraft carried Yuri Gagarin in the very first manned space flight. Hey, look, with all this space shuttle stuff in the news, I couldn't resist...
Levantine - Girls Funk (Vostok-1 Remix) by Vostok-1
Rounding out today's set is an interesting sound out of Milan--it's Gabriell's remix of Magellano's "OkOk". So there's something fantastic and completely different for you.

One of my all time favorite songs, is Cherrelle ft. Alexander O'Neal - "Saturday Love" (I mean, I even named my soul/disco/boogie blog that!). It came out in 1985, and was produced by one of my favorite production duos: Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.
When I saw that Toro Y Moi's new song was called "Saturday Love", it didn't cross my mind that he would actually cover the original, just thought it had the same song title, so I was surprised to hear him take that 80s R&B hit to fit his chillwave synthy style.

Here's a new one from Analog Giant favorites Bit Funk and Justin Faust. This time around, it's Bit Funk doing the summery remix honors for Justin Faust's Girl Talk. Glitzy, glossy, a little bit clubby... Sounds just about right for the weather!

Switching gears this morning, here's a synthy new disco DJ mix from Javier "Jarris" Macias, aka JRMX. He hit us up over on Twitter a while back with this new mix, and I came away impressed. I especially like this Heatseeker mix--it's the perfect pace to help you blast through that stack of work you've been procrastinating about. I'm looking forward to hearing more from JRMX throughout the year.

Nobody does slow-cookin' crock pot disco quite like Matthew Kyle. The man has an inhumanely funky patience for his grooves...but man, do they ever pay off. We haven't checked in with MK since our interview last december, so I thought I'd post up some tracks and give you a feel for what he's been up to. Perfect summer music if you ask me.

Their track just drips with a perfect summer sound. I recommend you check it out if you have not already. Great intro on this track and a killer building bass line. I love it.

The next track is a remix of the Talking Heads' classic "Pycho Killer" by Belgian based Eddie Adams. Really nice flip on this wonderful track.

German producer, Tensnake remixes Little Dragon's new song, "Ritual Union" from their latest EP. Can't get enough of Yukumi's voice over Tensnake's slowed down adaptation, especially when the added percussion is introduced at the 55 sec mark/chorus drops.

Since I Left You is possibly my favorite album ever record. The record came out nearly 10 years ago and the group has yet to release a follow up (rumors abound on the internet on when and if). Perhaps its impossible to replicate the magnificence of the first and its best just to leave it on its own. While no new material is surfacing Modular is set to release a deluxe 10-Year Anniversary with some rare remixes. Check out this one by Stereolab.

Coming right off of a very relaxing, very summery Independence Day weekend here in Seattle, and there's plenty of new music to go around. First up, there's this Plastic Plates remix of Mark Ronson's "Record Collection", one of the truly standout tracks from his most recent album. I think remix is utterly jaw dropping...easily one of my favorites so far this year. Next up is a track from Monarchy for you to check out, right from their forthcoming album. Finally, there's this disgustingly good summer house track from Alec Carlsson--the guy featured in today's picture, if you were wondering. This track is now up for free download. Seriously...that bassline!

Errr...perhaps two posts in one week is a bit excessive but we couldn't pass up the chance to feature these two awesome remixes. Check out these latest gems from Fare Soldi. My personal favorite? Egokid's "Golden Egg" such a great summer track. Check it out you will not be disappointed.

The second remix they have is of Julie's Haircut and the track title is simply amazing. Maybe its because I am married to a vegan and know how often people get the two mixed up. So good! Check out their remix of "Satan eats Seiten."
