Chicago will be welcoming some great hip hop on 3/26. Blueprint and Macklemore will be playing a show at Schuba's. If I didn't have a 4 month old daughter I would be there. Blueprint will be showcasing his new record which he was a jack of all trades for. He made all of the beats and this is combined with is on point rapping. If you are looking for some info on Macklemore look no further than my dude E's reviews here on this blog.

The show is a midwest meets northwest combo, much like this blog. Don't miss this show if you can help it.

Leftside Wobble consistently puts out some of the choicest disco edits anywhere, and I've been loving this brand new edit of "Easy Come, Easy Go" created to celebrate the upcoming live performance in London of disco greats Odyssey. I'd kill to go to this show, so be sure to drop us a line if you're in London and get a chance to check this out.

Snow may be falling tonight here in Seattle but disco is in the air. I have a producer from Guadalajara and two producers from Milan to thank for that. Speaking of, I don't know what's gotten into Milan lately, but its inhumanly-funky residents sure know how to slap down a bassline. It's the home of Analog Giant favorite, Reset!, along with two artists featured today: Gabriell and Lebatman. Gabriell's remix of Pink is Punk's "Grand Prix" is a great example of the city's booming trade is badass basslines. I also like this "Playback" track from Lebatman--100% polyester goodness. Vostok-1 is a producer from Guadalajara, Spain that's new to me--but I like his take on this timeless Cassius classic. All three have put their tracks up free for download, so be sure to drop by and check them out.

How good is this new Oliver 'Nightshift' remix of Juan Atkins' 'Dayshift'? Oh yes, yet another electroboogie anthem from this now-quite-unstoppable production duo of U-Tern and Oligee. Don't miss that free download action, by the way.

Couple of stand out SoundCloud tracks for you to run through this weekend. The first is from one of our personal favorites. The duo from LA known as Classixx. Nice remix here. Next remix from a new favorite of ours. Pyramidhall does a great job remixing Dan Black's track "Symphonies." The final track is some downbeat, hip hop, glitch type stuff by Midwest beat maker Ackryte (Act Right?). Not familiar with him but music is really cool. Check it out.

Round Table Knights has a new album coming out 28th of February. The Swiss duo's track "Calypso" blew up last year and was signed by Jesse Rose back in February 2010 and this latest record is on his Made to Play label. Their upcoming record can be previewed here. The first single "Say What?!" is a perfect mix of pop, electro, and disco. They also have some great remixes floating around.

This new remix of Cassian's 'I Like What You're Doing" from Nightriders is so very, very hot. Man, both Cassian and Nightriders have been on fire this year. The original track is from Cassian's new "I Like What You're Doing" EP, which is sounding phenomenal.

I suggest you drop what you're doing and head over here to download 'Late', a fresh EP from Analog Giant favorite 10.4 Rog and The Good Sin. Not sure how long the download will be available, so don't sleep on this one.

I like this new single, called 'Bad About You'. 10.4 Rog whips up a soulful, girl-why-don't-you-get-in-these-silky-sheets kind of sound, but The Good Sin's rhymes are about all the ways his love went off the rails.

Pretty fantastic remix of an 80's classic by club/party leader Bassnecter. Perhaps one of the most recognizable tracks from that period I recommend that you check it out.

I actually have met and talked to Bassnecter a couple of New Years ago when he was doing a show in Chicago. Really nice down to earth hardworking guy. Nice to see him doing well.

Heard Subtract One's (SBTRKT) track on Annie Mac's show this week and was happy to see Young Turks making it available on SoundCloud. Pretty awesome jam right here. Nice hook and a dancy vibe. Will it hit it big in America? No because one its not done by a teenager and two its not an overproduced mess. But I digress...check out this track its great.

Typically the weekend music post is reserved for E but he is up visiting one of the greatest cities on earth (Vancouver BC) so I am going to do my best to fill in for him while he is out. I have selected a bit of an eclectic mix here. One of my favorites of the past month is Ilya Santana's track "Transborder" which came out on February 7th. This track is really awesome, love how it builds.

The next track is from a man that needs not introduction. Nice to see him more active on SoundCloud. I couldn't mention E's trip to Vancouver without mentioning our favorite Canadian DJ, Mr. U-Tern. His remix of Black Card's "Dominos" is a dancefloor filler. Check out these great tracks and have an awesome weekend.

Quality remix of one of my favorite Daft Punk tracks. Don't miss Pyramidhall's remix of "Something About Us." Really well done. Nice mellow track to listen to after a long day of work and school...nice way to wind down.

It's a bit tough to track down information on Bestrack, the Parisian producer behind an impressive stable of remixes, but based on the quality on display here I'm sure we'll be finding out a lot more soon. I especially like this brand new edit of "1988 Girls" from Futurecop--it's the kind of fist-pumping 80s power synth explosion I can really get behind. Futurecop, by the way, is an electro-poppy duo out of England that I plan on getting to know better...because, wow, they're fantastic. Look for more of them in a future post, but in the meantime, I need to figure out a way to get my hands on this track!

How about a change of pace? Röyksopp released this contemplative-yet-not-really-all-that-melancholy instrumental that, apparently, was produced before the release of Melody AM but didn't quite make the cut. To me, this sounds like a solo snowshoeing scene from a Sofia Coppola movie that never was. Really great stuff as usual from those productive Norwegians.

Germany's superfantastisch Justin Faust really brings das boogie with his new DJ mix, titled "La Grande Bouffe". This guy can dish up both quality remixes and original tracks, so it's no wonder he's always causing a stir. I'm expecting more big things from him in 2011.
