Really great halloween mix to be playing at all your halloween party. Boy 8-bit creates a wonderfully creepy sound by mixing together all sorts of scary movie themes and sound clips. Not to be missed!

Penguin Prison threw up some new remixes on his site the other day. One of my favorites is his remix of Jamiroquai's "White Knuckle Ride." From their forthcoming studio album, Rock Dust Light Star. Check it out.

Killer live set from the mighty Alan Braxe at the Laura Leishman Project. Smooth, simple, supple...salacious? I'm running out of S words here. Just listen.
As I try and keep my head above water with school, work and baby on the way I wanted to point everyone to a bit of afrobeat. This video was shot by Tom Bass and provides an interesting look on and off stage of Ghanaian musician Ebo Taylor. Video features the single, "Love and Death" off his record of the same name out now on Strut Records. Check it out.
New mix from the Ed Banger records illustrious Thibaut Berland aka Breakbot featured on RBMA Radio. This set was recorded live at HARD Summer 2010 in Los Angeles. Check it out.
Great new remix of MGMT's track "Congratulations" by Erol Alkan. Check it out. Perfect for starting the last day of the work week.
MGMT - Congratulations (Erol Alkan Rework) RADIO EDIT by Erol Alkan
Stumbled across this remix of Homboi by Nautic. Admittedly I don't know anything about either one of them. Nautic describes himself as a 16 year old german "boy" making French house music. Homboi a fellow countryman of Nautic. Check out the remix and the original. Feel free to post in comments about how you know more about these two than I do. This is a great track regardless.
New DJ Set and remix from the loved Aeroplane. This one is a remix of the track "Piper's Song" by Gypsy and the Cat. Vito has a great ear for these things. Once again a wonderful remix. More info here.

Great remix by Four Tet. This time he is remixing one of our favorite tracks ever. He does a great job of putting a new twist on Lindstrøm and Christabelle's "Lovesick." Loving this remix. Not as much as the original but close. Check it out.

Thunderball makes music in the Thievery Corporation vein. A fresh sleek lounge sound. 12 Mile High is actually their fourth full-length recording ESL Music (owned by Thievery Corporation). The trio is Rob Myers, Steve Raskin and Sid Barcelona from Washington, DC. Check out this sinatiar laced single from the upcoming record.

Kanye West remixes La Roux's year old track "In for the kill." There is a Kelis cover and a Miike Snow remix around on the internets as well. Love La Roux's sound and of course you know our love affair with Kanye West, well at least for one of us...that continues...check out the track.
Aloe Blacc | I Need A Dollar | A Take Away Show - Part 1 from La Blogotheque on Vimeo.
Really awesome video Aloe Blacc performing "Hey Brother" and "I Need A Dollar." Directed by Colin Solal Cardo, Sound by JB Aubonnet & François Clos, Mix by François Clos, Produced by Chryde
Look, don't get me wrong. I love Phoenix. I'm all about Phoenix. But Listzomania is one of those songs that was so everywhere all at once that it got a little played out for me. That's why it's so cool when a phenomenal remix, like this one from Shook, makes me see the track from a completely new angle. Shook re-engineers this track from the ground up, layering super-clean synth lines with lip-biting funkitude. Definitely worth checking out. Oh, and get this: the track's available for download, too!
Atomic Clock is the latest album from Zion I (Amp Live & Zumbi). The Oakland based duo has been active since 1997. The combination of Amp Live's production paired with the socially concious forward thinking lyrics of Zumbi have always been a welcome addition to the hip hop landscape.
Thank you to CP for the tip on this one. Not sure if everyone is aware of Banksy latest piece of social graffiti. He has done a spin on the the Simpsons intro.

Nice remix of Miami Horror by DCup. Mr. Cup has been on a real roll as of late with some other great remixes of Chris Sorbello and Alesha Dixon. Check those out at his SoundCloud spot.

Great music from SBTRKT aka Subtracked. The masked London based producer is quite elusive however he has garnered quite a bit of praises from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs, Toddla T, Sinden and Gilles Peterson. Hes done remixes for Basement Jaxx, Portico Quartet, Goldie and Fantastic Mr Fox.

Little late to this one but we have really been enjoying this Daft Punk produced N*E*R*D track "Hypnotize U." Track is set to be featured on their upcoming record Nothing due out Nov. 2nd. Thanks to Nah Right for making the track available.
You've got to see this new jam from those fantastically poppy Mystery Jets--I think it might be the first pommel-horse themed music video in history. The song is a cut from their latest album, seratonin, available here. The Count and Sinden song featuring the Mystery Jets, After Dark, is still one of my favorite jams of the year.

Azari & III is Dinamo Azari and Alixander III of Canada. Their track "Reckless with your love" has been getting some play around the blogs and on Radio 1. A traditional house track featuring that Detroit style bump that results in a really big tune. An already awesome track just recieved an update by the AG loved Tensnake. Check it out along with a real mellow remix of "Into the Night". Awesome stuff.
Nice remix of The xx's "VCR" by the talented Four Tet. Check it out.

Received some good criticism about my Star Slinger post. Perhaps I threw the post together too hastily. My intention was to just start the conversation about this dude. His productions awesome. Some of the better productions in the last couple years that I have heard really.

Check out this load of new remixes and edits from Brighton's own Krafty Kuts, lord o' the breaks. Right now, you can download all of these tracks over on Soundcloud--so get on 'em while you can! Our favorite is of the Wolfgang Gartner (pictured) track.
