German DJ and producer Tensnake is making some absolutely killer music and mixes. I first heard his track "Congolal" on DJ U-Tern's One Day Later podcast. His track "Coma Cat" is actually on his latest podcast as well. Tensnake has a great new disco sound going on. I highly recommend you take a listen to some original stuff, his mixes and his remixes. He has a ton of stuff up on his Sound Cloud which obviously me and E are loving lately. Check it out.

Hugo Douster for Buenos Aires, Argentina has some massive remixes out there to go along with some great original tracks. Here is a great take on one of my favorite songs by Classixx along with an orginal track by Douster. XLR8R has him pegged as an artist to watch and I could not agree more.
Take “If We Try (The Love Anthem) for example. I don’t know how I missed this track back when it was released…now it’s on repeat. You can hear some of that french house sound, but it’s got this thick frosting of Italian funk slathered all over it. What can I say? It’s delicious.
Want more? Kry Wolf dishes up remix that ups the raw disco power with strings, bass guitar, and yes, handclap. Win!

Awesome video to go along with a great song. Hopefully you have already heard Penguin Prison aka Chris Glover. If you haven't stop sleeping and check out his music. Pretty awesome. This video is all live action performance shot over Skype in NewYork and BretonLABS in London, UK. Here are a couple great Penguin Prison remixes to check out.

Going try and make a more concerted effort to write about artists I am loving not just ones that might have a new record coming out. Anoraak is from the amazing Valerie Collective. Anoraak's specialty is writing catchy 80s style pop songs packed with retro synthesizers, guitars and his own vocals.

IAMSOUND is releasing a series of limited edition split seven inch vinyl’s from February through August called The LA Collection - spotlighting LA talent. The latest release features Rainbow Arabia and Nosaj Thing. I couldn't resist posting Nosaj Thing's dark melodic track"Night Crawler." The Kid is amazing. You can read better written post about the project from my friend here.
Analog Giant is now regional. Would like to welcome aboard "E" my long time friend and now co-writer. E is a left coaster living in the Emerald City. He was the first kid I met in high school who passed up listening to grunge in order to fully immerse himself in everything Kraftwerk.
E brings his own style and topics to Analog Giant. Could not be happier to welcome him aboard. Hope you enjoy his insight and humor as much as I do. Peace.
What’s up with Cassius all of a sudden? The flowers are blooming, disco is in the air…and a couple of Cassius 1999 remixes have been getting attention lately. The French house legends originally released 1999 way back in, well, 1999—and just in the last few months, the title has gotten the remix touch from London-based DJ Tim Green and Reset!, the boomin’ Italian DJ/Producer collective.
The Tim Green remix keeps it housey while respecting the still unbelievably relevant original, and the Reset! mix takes a little bit to warm up before it gets straight funkay. All in all, strong work. Take a listen.

New music for leftcoast master of ceremonies Ayomari. The PB&J Solution is his the first record and certainly a promising one. The record has been out for a minute and I am certainly not breaking ground here as he has been all over the blogs. I am simply reinforcing that you take a listen if you have not. Check out a track off the record.
Got a rambling email from Sabzi of Blue Scholars discussing this remix, how it was created and some reason why it was late...in all honesty it was bit hard to follow. However, since it is from one of my favorite hip hop groups (Blue Scholars) I gave it the quick read and proceeded on down to the .zip file. The result is great check it out.

Nice remix from the LA duo Classixx. Michael David and Tyler Blake have yet to disappoint with their remixes. I really love their sound. Check it out.
From the master behind For Corners comes Besides. Civil rights attorney by day and beat producer by night, Diego Bernal, his follow up to one of the best record in 2009 (in my humble opinion). On this record Bernal does a great job of searching through untapped, dust encrusted and long forgotten South Texas crates to create a great instrumental hip hop record.
Great video to go along with a great song. Video for Aloe Blacc's single "I Need A Dollar" from the forthcoming album Good Things.
New video from French group Jamaica. French parisian duo, Antoine Hilaire and Flo Lyonnet formerly PONEY PONEY. The video is directed by So-Me and Machine Molle and produced by Xavier de Rosnay and Peter J. Franco.
Nice rework by the late J Dilla. Track is from Donut Shop out in May on Stones Throw. The Dilla tracks cover 3 previously unreleased instrumentals selected by J.Rocc from the Dilla archives along with three unreleased instrumental versions of Dilla's production for Mos Def, Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes, each remastered by Elysian Masters who mixed and mastered J Dilla's Donuts, The Shining and Ruff Draft albums.
