Love this. They pull the whole thing together with the tracking on the intro the sound and the visuals for the video. Great work.
Arthur King remix, mixtape master is a dude with special skills. His mixtapes are some of the best you will hear and I highly recommend any of them (Gangsta Boogie & Pop Sh!t) his summer mix series are all available on his myspace. Check out a great remix of Ludacris, Diddy Friendly Fires and Aeroplane. Its essentially a remix of a remix. Awesome work sir.
Great mellow jazz/hip hop sound. Re:plus from Japan. Check it out.
New track off the upcoming album, Plastic Beach. This track features Gruff Rhys and De La Soul. I am really looking forward to the new record.

The group also has a video for another song off the album:

Some new jams from B. Bravo out of SF. As you know we are big fans of the bay area DJ scene (read our love for DJ B.Cause, Matthew Africa, Teeko, DJ Platurn etc.). You have to love what he is doing with the electro funk reminds me a lot of Dam Funk of course.
I have unjustly not been able to get a post up about the new record from friend and Analog Giant blog designer Ernest Gonzales. This recommendation certainly is not coming from an unbiased source, but whatever your style of music is you have to admire the work EG has put into this record. The record is part of a larger work in support of the record Been Meaning to Tell You that includes the album (of course!) along with 16 remixes, and a fantastic Artbook.
Free compilation of music thanks to Exponential Records, Ninja Tune, Stones Throw and more in honor of SXSW festivities. by releasing free compilations of Exponential Records music.
Cool cover by Sonja Khalecallon and her band Los Stroboscopious Luminous. Sonja Khalecallon also known as Cibelle, is a London-based tropical singer. Her new album Las Venus Resort Palace Hotel will be out in the Spring 2010 on Crammed Discs, and features "Lightworks" a cover of 1950s electronic music pioneer Raymond Scott. Which was heavily sampled in the J-Dilla hit of the same name.
Bit of indy stuff on a Friday. Love how the instrumentation builds on this one. Kid is real likable. The Morning Benders are from SF and Big Echo is their new record check them out on myspace.
Throwback soul duo Quadron (Coco & Robin) from Hovedstaden, Denmark. Pretty catchy track I recommend you check it out. The video is by Daniel Kragh-Jacobsen.
Awesome DJ set by Las Palmas de Gran Canaria desde Arucas's own and Lindstrom label mate Ilya Santana. Check it out. He also has a new EP out which is a must own. The Burning Jupiter EP is out now on Eskimo Records.
Nice track from LA based producer Jesty Beatz. He is from Cleveland, but based out of LA, pretty cool hip-hop track. Nice work by the backing band Spooktober a band based in Athens, Ohio that features Brian on Guitar, Miguel on Bass and Jesty himself on Synths Track and Drum Programming as well. Check it out.
Another track from the hyped Jay Electronica. On this track made available thanks to RCRD LBL Mr. Electronica takes a beat from the late great J. Dilla and puts a great lyrical spin on it. I am looking forward to Jay's record Act II: Patents of Nobility as many hip hop fans are.
Dam Funk is on the road in March in support of his epic five volume collection Toeachizown I hope you don't miss him. He's not coming to Chicago which is a shame but he certainly should be in a place real close to most of you.

French musician Danger has new EP out. The title track sounds like its from a 1980s horror movie. Danger aka Franck Rivoire has brought a really fantastic audio visual experience to life for any kid that loves video games and specifically 16-bit graphics. I would love to know the story behind the record's title 09/17 2007 (previous releases were 09/14/2007 and 09/16/2007).
